I'm not much of a gardener, and my yard is basically an old river bed with a token amount of sand, let alone soil. But Russian Sage thrives in my yard and come August, it's covered with bees of every kind. I stand there for hours and marvel at their furry joyful pollen harvesting. The entire bush is buzzing with delight.
