Thanks for your interest in a commissioned piece.
There is a 12-18 month waitlist for Commissions. If you are still interested, please feel free to submit an application using the for below. Thank you!
So You've Decided You Want A Painting that is unique to you. Awesome! Here's how it works...
1. Size Matters!
Commission prices are based largely on the size of the painting and how complex it is. The more complex, the longer it takes and the price is adjusted to include that.
What you need to do: If you have a known location you'd like to hang your piece, measure the space within that area. Make sure you leave enough room for a frame if you'd like one.
2. Refer to my previous works
If you already have a theme or focus in mind, let me know! Although I'm not a mind reader, I'll do my best to bring your ideas to life through my unique style and vision.
If you don't have anything in mind and you're happy to just let me go for it, then that's fantastic too.
While you're looking through my previous works, decide on a colour palette used in an existing piece.
What you need to do: Decide on what you'd like included in your painting. Decide on a colour palette and reference the painting(s) you like the colours in.
3. It's time to talk
Fill out the form below or give me a call/send me an email and we can set up an appointment to hash out the details. I'll need to know your preferred size, content and colour scheme.
What happens next?
When your project is next on my waiting list, I'll be in touch again to see if you're ready to go ahead with your painting.
I'll come up with a basic sketch to show the content of your painting. At this time I'll be able to give you a more accurate and detailed quote. Prices will vary if I have your permission to create a limited edition print series from your painting.
I'll also be able to let you know the timeline you can expect it to be completed.
Heads up! I'm NOT a fast painter, but good things come to those who wait!
Once the sketch is finalised and the cost is agreed on, I require a 25% non-refundable down payment to begin.
Once I have started your painting you will just have to trust me with it. Previous experience has told me that if I send updates along the way I can lose the flow of the piece because I'm second guessing what you may or may not want, which often shows up in the work and I don't want to give you anything less than a spectacular painting!
Once the painting is complete, we can talk framing options (at an additional cost).
Easy peasey lemon squeezie!
Local Pet Portrait Artists
If you're looking for a beautiful artwork to encapsulate your furry friend (or fiend!), then I am sorry to say, I am not the artist for you. I have many reasons for not wanting to take on these commissions, but the primary one is that I'd like to pursue ideas from my own inspiration and imagination.
However, don't despair! Luckily, there are many talented artists in the area who specialize in this art form and I have curated a list of them below. There is no order of preference, please contact individual artists directly for prices and availability.
