If you've been to the West Coast of Canada, you know it's a pure and magical place. Breath taking vistas, coastal mountains and an abundance of wildlife. I love to imagine what is beneath the surface.
I was fortunate enough to be invited on a salmon fishing trip with friends a couple of years ago, and knew I'd have to try to capture the feelings of it all. While salmon fishing on a bobbing and bucking boat did not agree with me, the joy of spotting bears, playful otters and soaring bald eagles each day more than made up for it. The biggest gift of that trip was to watch a beautiful humpback whale breach for at least 15 minutes. If that doesn't put you in awe of the majesty of Mother Nature, we can't be friends. I hope you enjoy all that is encompassed in this painting.
